Saudi Central Bank's Net External Assets Increased by About Two Billion Dollars in January

Data released by the Saudi Central Bank showed that its net external assets rose $2.07 billion in January compared to the previous month. According to the central bank, net external assets rose to 1.572 trillion riyals ($419.17 billion) from 1.564 trillion riyals in January. While the Saudi Central Bank's net foreign assets fell 4.26 percent year-on-year to the equivalent of 1.57 trillion riyals in January 2024.

Total assets rose to 4.889 trillion riyals ($1.3 trillion) from 4.668 trillion riyals year-on-year. The Saudi Central Bank's investments in securities abroad fell by almost 7 percent in January year-on-year to reach one trillion riyals.
